"Broad St. Barber Shop"
12" x 16"
"Broad Street Barber Shop" is the third painting in my series of street scenes from Charleston, SC.
I loved both the vintage sign AND the bright orange buildings, but getting both those two elements into the picture was a little tricky. Thus the fun angle of the composition.
One of the things I love about Charleston is all the Palm Trees you'll find lining the streets. Normally you see these trees in less "dignified" places than such an historic city.
The amazing architecture, juxtaposed with the tropical vegetation is what makes Charleston such a magical place to me.
If you want to watch a short clip seeing it's progress from start to finish, you can see it here on my blog...
