The blossom that inspired this painting I call "Christmas Zinnia" was growing in my yard one summer. It wasn't until just recently that I finally had a chance to paint it.
It turns out that the magenta colored Zinnia is a symbol of "LASTING LOVE and AFFECTION."
How perfectly appropriate for the Christmas season.
If it weren't for God's lasting love and affection for us, He never would have sent his Son Jesus to live on earth as a man -- born of the virgin Mary -- to die the death of a criminal in order to save us from our sins.
May this Christmas Zinnia be a reminder to you of Christ's LASTING LOVE and AFFECTION for YOU!
